ABA Therapy

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on a scientific and evidence-based approach that helps people with autism develop skills of learning and behavior management.

Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy

At Guardian Autism Center, we offer the benefit of a one-to-one child/therapist ratio and utilize the Applied Behavior Analysis approach. This approach has proven to be very effective for ASD and related developmental disabilities. ABA Therapy is evidence-based and offers patients the chance to be assessed accurately and correctly. Once an analysis has been completed, a customized treatment and support approach can be created for each patient in our programs.

Mastering Skills

The aim of ABA Therapy is to ensure that patients learn positive behaviors and skills. It is our goal to prevent falling back on old behaviors, which include unsafe or unproductive actions. The goal of this therapy is to improve interaction and communication, memory, concentration, attention span, and life skills. Play and safety skills can also be taught using this style of therapy. Patients who learn new skills are more likely to succeed. The development of new skills improves the chances that our patients will be able to learn and grow without frustration or distraction. It is our goal to continuously support the growth and development of all the patients that we treat so that they can lead happy, fulfilled, and successful lives.

Data-Driven Approach

ABA Therapy is data-driven, which means that testing skills and collecting progress notes help our treatment team create new goals for patients. This responsive system for treatment allows those with Autism and related developmental disabilities to thrive as they challenge themselves and gain independence. Best of all, this data helps to demonstrate progression to those who live with or care for our patients outside of our treatment locations. ABA Therapy is easy to utilize at home and school as well, allowing patients to continue to gain life experience, learn new skills, and succeed on a daily basis.
